Model: TL-MR6400
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 201207 Rel.56223n

Hello

How can I access the admin interface (http://192.168.1.1/) remote from another network?

I want to give the router to my mom who is struggling with her DSL provider for weeks.

System Tools --> Administration:

Remote Management Enable is checked

Manage this Router via the Address:

http://10.xx.xx.xx

Only the following IP/MAC Address:

FC-XX-XX-XX-XX

I downloaded the certificate and installed it (ok, it is for https, anyway I installed it)

When I enter the http://10.xx.xx.xx from another network I get a 403 error message.

Hope you can help me.

Best regards

zange

@HabiYafi

Hi, most of the SIM carriers did not provide a public IP address for the SIM card so you might need to require a public IP from the SIM card provider first for remote management.

If the ISP declined and you just want to manage the router out of the local LAN network, you could try to download the Tether APP for remote control

.

Why TP link is not responding these query? Most of the people have the issue with remote management. I could not see any reply from TP link community and TP link. What is the reason for this?

Hi @HabiYafi
it has something to do with the internet provider. A paid service needs to be activated first.

I had a phone call with the tp-link support team. First he recommended to use the Mobile App. But the mobile app had been updated in the meantime and the remote management disappeard.

Sorry, I forgot to leave a comment.

Best regards,
