  @Macrox

It's quite possible that the early EasyMesh FW allows the hidden networks in AP mode, even EasyMesh feature has been disabled in "Router mode".

Thanks for reporting this behavior.

@terziyski It could be.

@Macrox Have you disabled both EasyMesh and Onemesh in Router mode? Please try to disable them both, then switch to AP mode to confirm if there is still a hidden network.

@Macrox Can you please once again if the EasyMesh is disabled? If it is disabled, but the router still emits a hidden network, I assume the improvement that made to the Onemesh may not implement on the new EasyMesh.

Please let me know if you want to work with our support engineers to check it out.

  @Kevin_Z

Hi Kevin,

Will the mesh-on/off button appear in MR200 future (beta-)firmware too?

Emitting any wifi would get me in a lot of trouble. So my new device can't be used now.

I have the V6 :
1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 230516 Rel.64685n

Maybe silly question: can I upload firmware V4? (where mesh is not implemented yet)

Thanks!

Peter

You can't upgrade the FW with release for a different HW version. Better contact your local tech support with issue details - here.

Hi, Tnx. It was a question because the hardware is almost the same. I left the question on this forum to several tplink-guys. Hope the mr200v6 get's on/off for mesh too, as they did for other devices. Strange this on/off is not standard implemented. There are a lot of environments where wifi isn't allowed. That's why I bought a 4g-device in the first place. From local support, still no answer yet. I keep hoping... my device rests until then. Peter

@gc089627

As per this thread, Archer MR600 V6 doesn't have a beta firmware to disable the Onemesh hidden network at the moment:

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/267610

Sorry that we don't have any advanced notice of whether or when there will be new firmware for MR600 V6 to disable the Onemesh hidden network, but we will update the above thread once there are new models that support it. You may subscribe to that thread to get the most updated info.

  @Kevin_Z

Thx Kevin!

Already checked that out.

And V5.30 isn't an option? Did some investigation: looks like V5- and V6-hardwares are almost alike?
You are the expert :-) I wouldn't try it without your blessing.

Have now 2 devices. MR200 and some unbranded banggood-thing with the same problem.

I will wait. I'll try to put monthly-paid dataplan on hold.

Peter

It remains a mystery why, after mesh-on/off is implemented on V5.3, the button disappeared on V6 (on a later date).
It doesn't matter if its connectable or not, if you are in a no-wifi-zone (medical or other "fine" equipment), then "detectable" wifi is not allowed.
There's no warning in the manual that mesh keeps wifi on. Without knowing, one could do something what's not allowed or disturbs medical equipment.
I did mesure it, luckily. So, my new-bought device stays unused until firmware with on/off gets publiced.
I hope it'll be soon. :-)
