VR1600v cannot access wired IP printer off LAN switch

Laptop and android mobile phone with wireless connection to VR1600v cannot access a Brother wired network printer connecting off a LAN switch. However, both laptop and mobile wi-fi connected to TP-Link RE305 extender can access the same printer on the LAN switch.
VR1600v --- TP-Link RE305 wifi extender
--- Linksys SE4008AU Giga Switch --- Brother wired ip printer
When laptop & mobile wireless connected to VR1600v, cannot access Brother printer. But when laptop & mobile wireless connected via RE305 extender, then working fine. It is working fine when laptop is wire connected to the VR1600v or wire connecting to the Linksys switch.
Prior to moving to iiNet as NBN provider with this Archer VR1600v gateway router, was on Bigpond cable with Netgear CG3100D that everything was working with the same peripherals setup.
Sounds like some problem with layer-2 switching on VR1600v between wifi connected devices and other devices on LAN switch.
