Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I am planning to buy MR600 but it is unclear whether it supports my requirements. I have few questions if you guys could answer:

1. When 4g and broadband both are available which connection would it use? Broadband or 4g?

2. When broadband is unavailable it uses 4G but when broadband is back will it switch back automatically to broadband? If it does not then it is a deal breaker because it will end up using my 4G sim data! If any other model supports then please let me know.

3. Does it give SMS alerts when switchover of the connection happens so we can know by via of SMS and complain to broadband provider accordingly?

Thank you.

@vk3hjq

It is not just 4G. It has WAN/LAN ports.

@vk3hjq because my ISP has given modem and I have PPPOE broadband connection. I want to connect my ISP modem to this router and additionally have 4G sim connected to it.

Therefore when ISP's service is down my 4G connection takes over and then when ISP connection is back it should automatically switch over to PPPOE.

@tomk1988

Hi, Archer MR600 supports wireless router mode with 3/4G USB modem backup.

So the broadband connection is the main link and will provide internet first when both services are available.

If the broadband connection went down, it would failover to 4G service but there would be no notification via SMS.
