Solution VR300 | Errors (pkts) increases after ~ 12 hours of usage. Download bitrate drops down dramatically
Hello,
have already post about this problem in this thread, but probably is better to create a new one since we are talking about a different model.
Problem is that after ~ 12 hour of work the Errors (pkts) count moves from zero and goes wild (after this night was around ~1200000 ).
The speed of download bitrate dramatically start to decrease as well.
The only 2 found solution is either to restart the modem or unplug and replug the vdsl cable to reset internet connection.
after a reboot the situation is this one [ full performance in pagespeed (40 mbps down, 7.7 mbps up) ]
After ~12 hours the errors start to spawn and the download rate decreased to less than 4 mbps download (!!), upload value is the same.
Other Notes:
Am not using any telephone nor dsl filter, just the vdsl cable connect directly to the router.
The problems happens also for my ethernet connected Desktop PC (errors pkts + download speed drammaticaly decreased)... this is definitely not only a WiFi issue.
Seems also that this problem happens also for different model of tp-link modem router eg:

In none of these thread there is a solution.
Can anyone help me?

Thanks for the update.
The beta firmware here-Archer VR400(EU) V3-20211026 should be able to be updated.
Can I have a picture of the error message when the firmware upgrade failed?
Could you please go to system tools>backup &restore to back up the current configuration, then reset the modem to factory default and update the beta firmware again(updating via Ethernet connection will be highly recommended.)
Best regards.

I seem to be having this issue also.. every 12 to 24hrs I get about 450k downstream packet errors within the space of an hour. The only fix is to reboot my Deco X73-DSL modem/router however, the same occurs again the following day.

Thanks for the feedback.
Can I have some pictures of the download error spike on the web UI?
By the way, Do you have any performance issues when the download errors got about 450k, like slow internet speed or unstable connection?
May I know who is your internet service provider?
(I have provided my email address in the private message and you could send the screenshots to my email.)
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Thanks for the update.
Could you please send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com(please add forum ID-273730) with the following informaiton:
1. some screenshots of the advanced>status page before and after the disconnection.
2. What did you do to restore the internet connection, restarting the modem or it will come back automatically?
3. Could you please reinstall the 20220511 debug firmware and help me save the system log during the disconnection?
4. Since you mentioned there was an IP change, did you also notice whether the internet and DSL lights turn off?
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Same issue. DSL drops. Restarting router or unplugging DSL line resolves issue for a while. Then after a few hours internet starts to stutter then dies.
VR300. v2 hardware. Latest firmware.
Probably going to return it as it's unsuitable since it can't keep a stable internet and I work from home.
Purchased 2 days ago. Very disappointing.

started climbing after 12 hours

and here are examples of how it cascades. I have an important meeting coming up so had to pull the pin before it fell over. So, the error rate starts to climb and climb until it kills the PPoE connection

Kids are home, TV is on. Error rate is increasing - seriously, this router is not fit for purpose in a modern environment.
