New Firmware Deco M5 1.6.0

Hello everyone,
Please be sure you have read The Beta Test Agreement before proceeding!
We are happy here to announce that we now have the 1.6.0 firmware for Deco M5 V1/V2/V3 /V3.2 for trial. Please refer to the following link to access this firmware.
Deco M5 1.6.0 build 20220307
https://static.tp-link.com/upload/beta/2022/202203/20220308/Deco_M5_1.6.0_20220307.zip (the third edition)
Modifications and Bug Fixes:
All the reported issues on the first 1.6.0 build 20210818 version
New Features/Enhancement:
1. Added Reboot Schedule for every day/week under Deco App > More > Reboot Schedule.
Note: This feature is ONLY supported when the Deco with the firmware 1.6.0 installed is set as the Main Deco.
2. Added support for customizing Satellite Deco signal source under Deco App > Internet > Select the Satellite Deco > Signal Source.
Note: This feature is ONLY supported on Deco with firmware 1.6.0 installed.
3. Added support for customizing clients connection preference under Deco App > CLIENTS > Select the client > Click the gear icon on the right-up corner > Connection Preference.
Note: This feature is ONLY supported in Mesh networks consisting of ALL Deco's with firmware 1.6.0 installed. And the clients are connected to the HOST NETWORK.
4. Added No-IP and DynDNS to the DDNS settings under Deco App > More > Advanced > DDNS
Note: This feature is ONLY supported when the Deco with 1.6.0 installed is set as the Main Deco.
No-IP and DynDNS are the two commonly used dynamic DNS providers and after installing firmware 1.6.0, you can choose to set up a No-IP or DynDNS domain name for your Deco in addition to TP-Link DDNS.
5. Added Smart DHCP on/off switch in Access Point mode under Deco App > More > Advanced > Smart DHCP
Note: This feature is ONLY supported when the Deco with the firmware 1.6.0 installed is set as the Main Deco.
Smart DHCP is enabled by default. When the Smart DHCP function is enabled, Deco will periodically check whether the DHCP Server in the LAN is working properly, and when it stops working, Deco will take the initiative to assign IP addresses to the devices in the LAN.
6. Added a prompt when the Ethernet link rate goes down to 100Mbps.
Note: Deco M5 supports a maximum link speed of 1000Mbps, but due to the quality of the Ethernet cable, the link speed of the connected device, the flow control, and power-saving settings, etc., the link speed can sometimes drop to 100Mbps or even 10Mbps. This can affect your download and upload speed if your bandwidth is more than 100Mbps. After installing firmware 1.6.0, you will receive a prompt in Deco App when the Ethernet link speed is not 1000Mbps.
7. Added schedule and bandwidth limit to guest network under Deco App > More > Wi-Fi > Guest Network.
Note: This feature is ONLY supported when the Deco with the firmware 1.6.0 installed is set as the Main Deco.
8. When configuring Deco for the first time, you can choose to establish an IPv6 connection directly.
Notes:
1. This firmware CAN'T be downgraded to the previous version.
2. The current network configuration would not be lost after installing the beta firmware.
3. Please update your Deco APP to the latest version for the new features.
4. If there are other Deco models in the Mesh network, you may miss some new features but this feature will be supported via firmware update in the future.
5. You may miss some new features when Deco is set to Access Point mode.

@RobsonT Same problem in my installation (five Deco M5, one M9plus, connected using ethernet), client. devices are taking too long to switch to closest Deco.

Hi, the new firmware also allows to manually select the linked Deco.
Did you mean after manually selecting the linked Deco, the clients need a long time to switch from the original one to this unit? How long did it take normally?

@TP-Link Overall I am very satisfied with version 1.6.0. I was having trouble to put Decos to use ethernet infrastructure, but as soon as the New version was installed all Decos connected to the main Deco Using ethernet, no need to configure manually. I noticed the delay in cell phones when moving around my home, with mesh and fast roaming enabled.
Thanks.

And sometimes devices didn't connect to the nearest Deco, sometimes Deco App show wireless devices with connection type Wired

I'm having the same issue as @Lordvader , after selecting a connection preference on multiple devices and after rebooting the deco's and devices, they still connect to the 'nearest or best' deco (not the one I selected).
Is there any way to resolve this?

This update made me so happy even with their bugs.
Finally I can set which band I want to use with each device.
With this I am now able to use my printer in the same network (2.4 GHz) along with the other devices (5 GHz), no more guest networks.
However I am facing same issue as the community: Devices connecting to another Deco even if I selected an specific one, and also I noticed that devices are taking long time to switch between Deco units.
Thank you!
