  @David-TP seriously, TPLINK should consider hire more engineers. This beta program have FAILED with success! Just signed on first day and was very frustrating.

No reliable software / hardware.

I am open to suggestions for another vendor.

  @TP-Link Is there any estimate or a thread about the same new features in the Deco M4?

@BenjaminNYC

Maybe yes , maybe not. It depends of your configuration. My scheduled reboot never worked, i had to power off/on because after the scheduled reboot some devices had problem connecting to the internet . Also if you can check your MTU settings with tcp analyzer "speedguide dot net" if something is red then you have a problem ( as i wrote before it depends on your configuration )

  @Billmanakos Is this why I had to reboot my main Deco this morning after the auto-reboot at 5am?

  @TP-Link

Once again I had to revert back to previous working stable firmware .

There was a really annoying problem with wrong MTU settings in PPPoE Wan connections. Tried every possible setting but the MTU was always wrong or badly applied ( 1462 ). Going back to previous firmware the MTU configured to 1480 so there was no problem with VPN connections etc. Every one or two weeks I had to power off/on main Deco ( some devices was loosing connection), but with the previous firmware version there is no problem or no need to restart ( 3 weeks up and running ).

  @TP-Link Good morning. I'm appreciating the new features of the beta 1.6. Some comments though:

  • Being able to set a preferred node per device is nice, however your language of "preferred" is incorrect. It will ONLY connect ot that node, and appears to be blacklisted on the others. I see that is says that in small print in the app now. It would be nice to have it actually mean "preferred" vs. "dedicated to."
  • I scheduled the auto-reboot last night for the first time at 5am. Upon waking up at 7am, I had no internet. Decos were all had green light, but the system simply had no connection to the internet. I tried to reboot the system using the app, and "something went wrong." I power cycled the main Deco to resolve it. Are there logs I can send you?

Thanks.

  @TP-Link I am also awaiting for the update on M9 plus.  These two are badly needed:

1.  Connection preference for the deco mesh access point to manually select which is the signal source.

2.  Connection preference for any device to manually select which is the signal source.

Please fix this as this has caused inconvenience and very frustrated with this. These features should have come right out of the box.  This has been discussed extensively. Prove that we M9 plus users have purchased the right product.
