@TP-Link

  • Wi-Fi Dead-zone Killer—Deco uses a system of units to achieve a whole-home Wi-Fi coverage, Eliminating weak signal areas once and for all
  • Seamless Experience—units work together to form a unified network with a single network name, so phones automatically connect to the fastest Deco as your moving, creating a real seamless Wi-Fi experience.

@TP-Link Overall I am very satisfied with version 1.6.0. I was having trouble to put Decos to use ethernet infrastructure, but as soon as the New version was installed all Decos connected to the main Deco Using ethernet, no need to configure manually. I noticed the delay in cell phones when moving around my home, with mesh and fast roaming enabled.

Thanks.

@RobsonT

Hi, the new firmware also allows to manually select the linked Deco.

3. Added support for customizing clients connection preference under Deco App > CLIENTS > Select the client > Click the gear icon on the right-up corner > Connection Preference.

Note: This feature is ONLY supported in Mesh networks consisting of ALL Deco's with firmware 1.6.0 installed. And the clients are connected to the HOST NETWORK.

@Cicero_Neto

Did you mean after manually selecting the linked Deco, the clients need a long time to switch from the original one to this unit? How long did it take normally?

@TP-Link upgrade just worked as expected!

Finally I am able to select the signal source. Thanks!

Just noticed sometimes mobile devices won't connect to nearest deco.

If yes, would you mind temporarily changing it back to dynamic IP and check whether it appeared on the list or not?

@TP-Link After setting dynamic IP address, it's comeback, then I set static IP address again, it's still there. Problem solved.

@votinh8x

Hi,  I would like to follow up on your case by email, and please have a check of your email box later.

And Did you set up a static IP address on the NAS?

If yes, would you mind temporarily changing it back to dynamic IP and check whether it appeared on the list or not?

Thank you very much.

1. Other wireless devices are in list.

2. Switch Model TP-Link TL-SG1005D

3. Only NAS. My setup:

Router → Main Deco AP → Switch → NAS

                                                  ↓

                                         Slave Deco

4. I tried to connect a wired camera directly to slave Deco, it appeared in list.
