Explicitly clarify during setup (and in documentation) if the mesh does or does not support Ethernet backhaul. Took me 2 days to figure out my product does not.

It is one thing that my products (AX80 and a few RE330) cannot connect over the Ethernet, but if they are connected, one cannot even enter router admin page. One may say, "Obviously!", however other products - even within the TP-Link family - use of Ethernet backhaul.

Disappointed. Bought 2 days ago 1 AX55 and 2 RE200(AR) for the onemesh feature. And after googling how to set it up with ethernet found this thread.

3 years passed since this feature was requested and no firmware update to support it.

  @tryqwe Hi, welcome to the community. If you just purchased Archer AX55+RE200, I think you might consider replacing it with Deco whole Mesh system. It has good compatibility with Ethernet Backhaul.

Thank you very much.

  @David-TP

The Deco ethernet backhaul is not what we as your consumers are looking for - it works on a different sub-net than the internet router, and requires a separate network and additional TP-Link switch to establish the ethernet backhaul.

  @David-TP

Could you please update us on this feature status?

Replacing our current devices with the "Deco" line-up is not an option and not the answer that we, your customers, are looking for.

Regards,

Ernestas

  @David-TP  I need the USB 3.0 port. I don't want to spend another couple a 100$ for two Deco when you can update the firmware to make it work. If ichange it will be certainly not with Tp-link.

  @Solla-topee @David-TP do we have any updates on this initiative - 2 years is MUCH too long for such a simple firmware update to be developed
