TL-MR100 no internet, web config down
Hi Crew,
I have a TL-MR100 that has died on me. Was happily working away and it has recently has dropped its internet connection. I have confirmed the SIM card is still active.
The device has been factory reset using the reset/wps button on the back.
- The device powers on as usual. Power LED flashes before the wireless and Ethernet LEDs come up.
- I CAN log into the default wifi, or access via Ethernet. Both result in a DHCP address being given out, but neither result in internet access.
- I CAN ping the device on the default IP (192.168.1.1)
- A port scan indicates the only open port is port 80 on the device, but I can't connect to it.
- I CAN NOT log into the web management portal using either "tplinkmodem.net" or by entering the IP address into the browser
- I CAN access the CLI by starting a telnet session on port 23. I was originally asked to set a password which I have done.
- I have tried a number of IPs on my PC with TFTP server running, and can't get the device to attempt to pull a file (I suspect it's not capable)
Do I have a fancy paperweight? Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Hi, could you please have a look at this link and help me check which one is more like your case?
[Troubleshooting]No internet service on LTE Gateway Router
Then please provide me a picture of the Advanced>status page.
By the way, may I know who is your SIM carrier?

Hi,Thank you for getting back to me.
Have you tried to set up a static IP address on the laptop, such as 192.168.1.100/255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.1.1 to see whether you could log into the web UI?

@ZachF In this way, I think you might need to contact the local retailer to get this unit for replacement.

Hi,
I have two MR100, same problem.
Web interface doesn't work.
Telnet -> CLI : There is no firmware upgrade...
TFTP doesn't work (I think it works only Serial connection, but there is no USB port or serial pins on the panel).
Maybe there are serial pinouts on the panel, but I did not find any layout.
We may have to do a hard reset. So we should get the panel layout...
I just want to upgrade the firmware (most importantly ISP)...
Do you have any suggestions? TP-Link engineers???
I thing I have TWO "fancy paperweight"!

Hi,you mean client devices are able to obtain IP address and login via Telnet, but web interface doesn't work, right?
It is recommended to try factory reset, if it is still the same, please contact the retailer where you bought it to check the warranty and get it replaced.

Hi.
Yes. The factory reset was the first, I tried. The web interface doesn't work. Then I tried to login via Telnet. It works, but there is not firmware update option.
There is no warranty...
The problem is not so important, because I will replace the routers, but it would be good to solve it...
