Hello

I recently noticed an issue with my router

so the problem is that when the "smart connect" feature is enabled the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands are both transmitted with Wi-Fi 5 (ac)

but when I turn off "smart connect" the 2.4GHz band is transmitted with Wi-Fi 4 (n) and also I tried with channel and bandwidth both set to auto and manual but the issue is still there not only that but also there is no (ac) in "mode" under advanced wireless settings besides the usual which is n only, g/n mixed and b/g/n mixed

and interestingly the 2.4GHz hidden SSID which is used for "One mesh" is transmitted with Wi-Fi 5 (ac)

I have no clue what is causing this issue so please help me.

@Blue-whale

2.4 GHz band doesn't support AC standard.

What's misleading you is when Smart Connect is active, both bands (2.4GHz & 5GHz) are emitting wireless signal with the same SSID.

If this was helpful click on the arrow pointing upward to make it blue. If this solves your issue, click the star to make it blue and mark the post as a "Recommended Solution".
