Port forwarding to port 443 fails but to port 80 is OK
I've used NAT forwarding/virtual servers to redirect http://domainName.ddns.net:7704 to 192.168.1.10:80 without issue (http connection). Service type was left blank.
However when doing the same thing and trying to redirect redirect http://domainName.ddns.net:7703 to 192.168.1.10:443 (https connection) it fails.
Along the way to failing, the router address changes to https.
The only reference i have in the user manual to connect to the router over https is using remote managmeent with 1 user on the LAN. I want to connect to the router and devices behind it over https from any internet address if possible but until this is resolved I am connunicating over port 80 (http) which is not ideal.
Any thoughts on what is stopping connections over port 443 (https) to the router and devices on the LAN would be appreciated. Shouldn't https be the default protocol over which users connect to a router, on a LAN or on the WAN?
