Deco P9 PLC issue
Model: Deco P9 (2.0)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20201228 Rel. 55057
Hi,
I have an issue with my P9. At the main deco I get about 460-480 on a speed test, I have a 500 Mbps line. One of the secondary units shows a PLC connection as well as wifi, but the speed is miserable, at just 20 Mbps. I dont think the PLC is working as it is just holding on to the wifi.
The 3rd unit is worse and just shows only a wifi connection about 95% of the time. I see a PLC connection maybe twice a week. Max speed I have seen is 2Mbps. This deco shows a connection from the secondary unit, so speed has degraded considerably.
Any solution for this?
Have seen other posts of the P9 issue for the version 1 which was sorted with a beta version of the firmware.
Thank you in advance.

Update:
Occasionally, There is some feedback that PLC backhaul on the Deco P9 is unstable, most of the time satellite units are on wireless backhaul only and had a slow speed.
Here we have provided the following beta firmware for your reference:
Deco P9-V2-1.1.2 build 20210113
(It could be reverted back to official firmware later)
Note: Be sure you have read the Terms and Conditions for TP-Link Beta Firmware before proceeding!
Please comment below and keep me informed whether the beta firmware is working or not.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Hi, please refer to the private message to get the beta firmware.
At the same time, can I have more details about the current issue:
1. would any P9 turn red during the disconnection?
2. Could you please switch the location of the 3rd P9 with the 2nd to see whether the unstable PLC connection follows with a specific location or a specific node?

@TP-Link Hi,
I've been having the same problem, one unit in particular doesn't seem to want to connect. I'm using the same hardware/firmware on all of my units as described by the OP.
Could I get the beta firmware too, please?
Thanks.

@MikkiH Hi, Thanks for your message. I did not log into the @TP-Link account so maybe it could be better for me to reply here.
I see you have three Deco P9 and did both satellite units behave quite the same: Satelite deco lost plc and never again connect plc?
The powerline backhaul highly relies on the current electric environment and if possible, please try to move it far away from the home appliances.
And would there be any chance to connect P9 via Ethernet cables?
I noticed you mentioned the beta firmware worked for some days. Did it stop working again recently?
Thank you very much.
Best regards.
