Model: Archer VR2100
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 210722 Rel.37847n

Hi,

I have problem with wifi instability on VR2100. Wifi connected devices have high latency (50-80 ms) and are disconnecting from the network. This is happening on both 2,4 GHz and 5 GHZ frequencies. Lan interface is working good though.

The modem is  Archer VR2100 v1, FW version 1.5.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 210722 Rel.37847n.

I have tried the troubleshooting:

- updated FW

- Smart Connect disabled

- channel and channel width set to a value (2,4GHZ and 5GHz)

Not solved anything. Any recommendations?

@Muzzy500

Thanks for reaching our to us.

May I know when did you purchase this device and when did you get this issue?

How frequently does this issue happen?

And may I also know how did you recover the internet connection? Will it automatically recover or you need to reboot the router to recover the connection?

@TP-Link

The device was purchased on 18.1.2022.

The disconnections are happening right from the first moment I started using the modem. It is happening irregularly every 10-30 minutes.

No need to reboot, the connection gets back online after some lost packets.

High latency is stable though.

I have returned the device and tried another piece. After installation it looked better, but returned to the same behaviour - high latency and loosing packets.
