Do you mean network device can't get an IP address, what are the model and Android/ IOS device?

Please ensure the Wi-Fi led/ Status lights are still on the range extender, if not, try factory resetting the range extender and set it up again.

If the RE WiFI Leds and Signal Leds all light up, try to configure DHCP settings&IP settings as guide here How to use my Range Extender properly if your range extender is configured correctly?
