Hi,

 

I just purchased an Archer VR400 router/modem (the 2 antenas model, see picture) and it's causing me problems.

When I connect to it with a cable/wifi I am getting download speed of 2Mbps, but when I check the status in the console, I see the downstream is almost 40Mbps (see pictures).

 

Any ideas?

 

I'm really lost.

Hi, 

have you checked whether you are connected to 2.4ghz or 5ghz?

Here are some suggestions for your reference:

1. change the 2.4ghz settings: channel to be 11, channel width to be 40mhz; 5ghz settings: channel to be 48, channel width to be 80mhz.

If the issue still existed, please go to Advanced>system tools>backup& restore and back up the current configuration, then reset the modem to factory reset.

After that, please set it up again and this time, please do not set up any configuration yet.

Then check the DSL rate and internet speed again to see whether there would be any improvement.

I tried all your recoomendations but the problem persists.
