Model: Archer C5
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 3.16.0 0.9.1 v600c.0 Build 200427 Rel.33156n

Hi All.

I have a 400Mb internet connection and buy a TPLink router C5 to use it.

But when I use the QoS, the router limit the internet link at 100Mb.

My question is: Why?

A gigabit router limiting the internet connection as fast ethernet?

Obviously it's a software limit, but it is ridiculous.

Analising others gigabit devices of TPLink model Cx, I found the same trouble.

A new firmware can solve it?

@MarceloSeco

Can I confirm the router model is Archer C5, and its hardware version is V4? Can you please take a picture of the device label that displays the router model, region version, and hardware version? You can mask the MAC and SN for any security concerns.

If the model is Archer C5 V4, and if I'm not misunderstanding the issue you are reporting, Archer C5 V4 doesn't support QoS as per the user guide, it supports Bandwidth Control. If you are referring to the Bandwidth Control settings, please review the configuration steps in the user guide and ensure all are correct:
