Hello,

recently i replaced my old Asus-Router with a new TP-Link Router (Archer AX55 v1.0).

  • My ISP Is Vodafone (Dynamic IP).
  • The TP-Link Router is connected with the Cablemodem per Cable and with Basic-Setups, nothing special.

Problem: Every few Minutes the TP-Link Router loses the Internetconnection.

Reboot all Devices don't solved the problem.

LOG Snippet:
2022-06-15 18:47:27 dhcpc[23838]: <6> 210051 send discover with ip 0.0.0.0 and flags 80

2022-06-15 18:47:23 dhcpc[18181]: <6> 210056 teardown and release

Router Status: The firmware is up to date

Test:

  • Connect my Laptop directly with the Cablemodem works perfect.
  • Status Cablemodem is good, no problems.

I've already contacted the support and waiting for answer, but also want to use the Community :)
Any Tipps? Thank you

Tom

  @Kevin_Z

Got e-Mail from TP-Link Support with a link for a beta fimware.

I have downloaded the firmware and unzipped the file.
  1. Under "Local Update" i opened the bin-file and clicked "Update".
  2. Infomessage for "uploading process" appears for 4-5 seconds
  3. "Update Error" Message appears - tried it a couple of times. every time the same Result.

Sadly - I cant upload and install the firmware-file.

  @Tom_Gribiz

On the screenshot I saw that the FW sent to you is for 'US' region:

I believe that you should use the 'EU' region FW for your device.

You can check your device region on the device bottom sticker:

E-mail back to support and ask them if that's the problem.

If this was helpful click on the arrow pointing upward to make it blue. If this solves your issue, click the star to make it blue and mark the post as a "Recommended Solution".
