Hi all,
As TP-Link produces a new router every week and no updates en buggy software, I would like to share experiences of other brands.
Who has experience with mesh systems that work, keep their software up-to-date and:
- have a user management, including devices per user
- have good mesh capabilities
- a mobile app to monitor usage and registered devices
- capabilities to give a personal name to every device
- capabilities to gives high-prio to some devices
Thanks for sharing your advice (so we can leave this shizzle behind).

That sucks. None of the M9's I will update are on networks with speeds above 400 mbits so this won't effect us as it does you. Hope there is other improvements and it's not as buggy as the beta 1.6.0.

Don't update, bandwidth is half. I get 490 with a gigabit connection from ISP.
Now I will downgrade to 1.5.6 again.

@Dekonass I'm gonna test the update later today at my parents home where three Deco M9 Plus'es are in use. I downgraded the Deco's to 1.5.6 earlier this year after complaints of slowdowns and buffering when streaming video which went away after downgrade. Hope that's fixed in the new 1.6.0 release.

No idea how long it will take but from my experience with a lot of Deco M9's and M5's at the homes of friends and familie which I help set up and manage, the roll-outs of new firmware happens in smaller batches and it has sometimes taken months until a new version is available in the app vs downloading it directly from the support site.
Maybe they have upped the release speed now, my last experience was the roll-out of firmware 1.6.5 on the Deco M5 where it was available in the app about 1 month after I first saw it on the local support site.
