Hi, I see the V2 of your Deco M9 plus is on 1.2.12 and it might need to be updated to 1.6.0 via firmware upgrade utility:
Thank you very much.

Thank you! After about 30mins I was able to get the tool to work and the V2.8 hardware was updated successfully. I am able to see the IP addresses of both devices and I am able to set which Deco they should connect to.

I am upgrading to the latest update using For V2/2.2/2.6/2.8, Download link: Deco_M9_V2_1.6.0_220823
How long does this take? I started the upgrade but it keeps spinning and it says uploading. I have been waiting for about 15 minutes now since i hit upgrade. I don't see any progress bar.

Thanks for the feedback.
I tested on my side and the firmware upgrade works quite normal.
It is suggested to update Deco one by one, starting from the satellite M9 first. An Ethernet connection is highly recommended.
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

I was able to install it. I just had to quit the initiated process after waiting for almost an hour and redo the firmware upgrade. Thank you David. I appreciate your hardwork on this.

Dear David, it seems that the frequent disconnects and reconnects are not yet fixed in this August 23 version. I have a few devices which I have set an alert when they go online and offline. What could be the reason for this? I haven't done this offline/online notificafions for all my devices. It seems that this is a stability issue which everyone has been pointing out. I have attach above my screenshot of my notifications.

I'm currently running version Deco_M9_V2_1.6.0_220823 on my M9Plus V2 (was the same issue with 220810) but haven't experienced this with 1.5.6.
The device disconnection is constantly happening when devices seem to be in range of 2 Decos.
Please see the screenshot of my alerts.
This is a huge issue, since it is draining the devices battery, interrupts phone calls over WiFi, slows down the Internet experience due to constantly reconnecting.
Thanks for a quick fix!
Please mention my phone reconnects every 3 to 5 minutes while just laying on the table.

@HopSaSam have you tried turning off fast roaming. I'm not seeing this on any of my decos .

Why should I?
I want to use all available features and not going back 10 years.
This is clearly a stability issue.

@HopSaSam just trying to help identify what the issue is - fast roaming doesn't work properly with multiple devices. if its causing you dropped calls why not try turning it off - if it fixes it the benefits you'd lose are marginal
