Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 0.9.1

Hi,

 

Recently Brought a second hand one/refurbished from amazon and the TP-LINK account is locked to another user can this be changed?

Secondly every week or so if its not restarted the DSL connection fails and will only kick back in if its restarted, i know the settings are correct as it works most of the time.

Any suggestions?

Hi, Normally a hardware reset will help unbind the modem from its previous owner.

If it is not, please send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with the following information:

1. A picture of the product label of VR2100.

2. A copy of the purchasing receipt/record.

 

As for the DSL connection, when the connection failed without a restart, will the internet LED turn red? would there be any error message on the web UI>Advanced>status page?

And will you still get a valid internet IP address?
