Archer AC2100 VR600 WiFi 2.4 GH speed low
dsl speed @ 2.4 GH network very low while 5GH network reach max speed.

@jader I have the same problem. Sometimes if I fiddle with the settings a lot I can get 20Mhz of band 11 but the max d/l speed is <= 0.9Mb/s which is basically unusable. It's a shame as everything else about the router is great for me.

Hi, may I know how long have you had the modem and did this issue start just after you purchased it?
Could you please refer to this link to help me check the link speed on 2.4gh:How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client
If possible, please also download the WiFi analyzer on the smartphone to see whether the are a lot signal working on the channel wireless frequency.

@David-TP I think it's probably always been this way for me since having it for a few months now but I only recently discovered it through a 2.4Ghz-only device.
I did a factory reset, ensured firmware was up-to-date but no luck.
Alongside Smartconnect I think I practically tried all manual combinations of channel, bandwidth, a b g n and had no luck.
When I watch the 2.4Ghz signal it spikes up & down a fair bit before dropping off to a dead next-to-nothing signal strength.
It reports a link speed of around ~144 initially but this almost immediately drops to ~45 before finally dropping to <=~4.
2.4Ghz is congested here but another router I tried, a BT Smarthub 2, produces a solid 2.4 signal from the same location.
Would configuring 2.4Ghz Advanced Settings do anything?
It's all very strange with others reporting similar problems.

So I just got a new Archer VR600 V3 (AC2100) modem, and while it's advertised as reaching upto 1733Mbps on the 5GHz band, after setting it up, both my phone and my PC report the max connection speed as being only 866Mbps on the 5GHz band! Am I missing something or is it a faulty model??
