Setting up my extender on iPad and iPhone. Each time log into one the other logs out ? What am I doing wrong ?

Thank you for the inquiry.
If you mean the device was forced logged out when manage the RE in Tether or Web page, that is due to only one device can log in the extender to manage the extender at the same time, that should be the reason why the previous device was logged out when you log in the RE on a new network device.
We only need to setup the range extender once, and iPhone and iPad and other network devices can connect to Wi-Fi SSID of range extender to get internet.
If you mean log out from Wifi, may I know how many network devices device are connected to the Wifi of the range extender?
