Model: TL-WA1201
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 10.16.38 (20220118)

Hello,

After configuring the AP in mutli-SSID mode, Any 5Ghz SSID is not working.

This was working in default mode (AP mode).

I trie dto configure SSIDs with the same name of the 2.4 GHz networks or a different name. The result is still the same.

Note that 2.4GHz works well.

Is this known ? Is there a fix that can be applied ?

Thanks,

 Hello  @Nakor

Thank you for the feedback, the case your report seems to be new. To look into this further, can you help confirm some case details here

1> The model of router, and the network topology

e.g. ISP router-switch Model XX - AP

What are the network devices that connected to this AP?

2>the photo of Multi-SSID mode settings on the AP, and photos of VLAN settings on the switch

Please help  describe the subnet you've set, thank you.

  @Solla-topee

Here is the archi:

opnsense (router/firewall) ---(Trunk)--- switch netgear GS308E ---(Trunk)--- AP

SSID in 2.4GHz are using the same VLANS as 5GHz so its not a connection/Trunk/switch issue.

The signal is just not broadcasted (and is not configured in hidden).

In AP Mode everything is OK, but not in Multi-SSID mode.

Note that I also done a factory reset and I have the same issue.

@Solla-topee @Nakor In case it helps... I have installed many TL-WA1201 and I have found a random fault with 5GHz not working after loading config and/or updating firmware. In all cases, I found that doing a factory reset, then manually configuring the AP fixed it. Applying a saved config breaks it again, so only manually configure.

Thanks for  @Wizz 's sharing!

@Nakor  May I know have you done something like mentioned above like importing the config file? Feel free to let us know for any observations, thank you.
