Different timezones
I'm in a heck of a mess!
I have more than 20 switches (with MANY more planned) installed in 3 different timezones.
How do I separate them (a mix of smart plugs and wall switches) into different Homes/locations in the KASA App?
At this point it's a heck of a mess for access and scheduling with all the devices in the App in one timezone and listed in one home.
It's especially annoying to compensate for timezones when setting the Schedules.
PS I love the Energy Monitoring in the KP115
I need to find a solution and get this resolved before I buy and install the next 40+ some devices.
I hate to go out and buy another brand now that I found one that technically functions perfectly.

Hello @MisterMik
Thank you for sharing a feature request with the community.
The kasa device uses the same time zone as the location you've selected inthe Kasa APP.
This can cause some trouble if the devices are under different time zones, you can only put devices in different Homes, and set the schedule according the time difference between local time and Device time, so device can work as expected.
Or you could try'Schedule' feature in the Alexa which allows setting a separate time zone.
Using Alexa "Routines" feature with your TP-Link Smart devices
Hope this can provide any help.

I understand the current software situation, but would it be possible to make a slight modification to the code so the field devices (smart plugs, switches etc.) pick up the date and time for the local router where they are connected? @MisterMik
PS I am in the process of testing out the Tapo camera system as I was planning to deploy this for installation on properties on 3 different continents. I will have to investigate this topic separately. (No action on your part).

Since the app allow different homes to group device, it would make sense to set location/time zone based on the home locations rather than the app time zone for all homes. Just simply offsetting the time difference for scheduling would not work for sunrise/sunset. For within the US, you would need the before/after window to go up to 3 hours rather than 59 mins. I would request to put in the time zone setting per home instead of base on the app setting.

Thank you for the update and helping move this issue forward.
Right now I'm in a holding pattern before I expand the systems further.

PS I can't wait to replace the Reolink cameras that over a 3 year period have been VERY DISAPPOINTING.
I will also be looking for cameras with POE capability in addition to DC.
That would amount to 3x16 cameras in 3 different timezones.

Hi,
We have VIGI cameras that support POE and DC power, and you can set different time zones for different cameras on the VIGI app.
