Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.12.0 Build 221010 Rel.35508n(4555)
Hi!
I bought a TP-LINK archer c80 from Germany and I am currently using it in Nepal. There seems to be few issues with the router regarding its settings.
Issues:
1. DHCP server setting under Network takes the default gateway automatically even though it is mentioned as optional making it mandatory!
2. Also, in the above mentioned setting the primary DNS is selected as the default gateway automatically, which too is mentioned as optional! Furthermore, changing the primary DNS to lets say 8.8.8.8 does not come into effect after restarting the router, it defaults back to the gateway!!
3. In the INTERNET settings, under advanced settings even though I select the Secondary Connection as NONE it mandates the Primary DNS!! I am not able to change the primary and secondary DNS of the internet connection!!

Please look at the screen shot and note that my router has the latest firmware!

Not sure if the last point is addressed, but here's the latest beta FW - you may try it and see if this was fixed already.

If it's not then you should wait till the next stable FW release.
