Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20220218 Rel. 44168

Enable the option "5G only" under Internet -> Network mode, as indicated in Configuratio Guide for Deco X80-5G.

 

This guide (https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/3078/) has screenshots, so why only 5G Preferred option is available? 

 

Also firmware update would be great, as logs are full of errors!

As support side on tp-link products is non existent and no software updates are provided, I had to buy an Zyxel device, that is working without problems on N1 5G with speeds up to 250 down and 100 up, so X80-5G is just an 800 euro paper weight.

  @ElJacko Hi, Really sorry for the inconvenience. I wish I has caught this post in the first place. We left for the new year vacation last week and did not check the forum frequently as usual. If you still had the Deco, I would be glad to provide further assistance, and you could email support.forum@tp-link.com with the following information:

1. May I know who is your SIM card carrier?

2. When 5G preferred is chosen, did Deco X50-5G still tend to use 4G a lot?

3. Could you please send some screenshots of the Internet settings page on the Deco APP?

By the way, may I know the model number of the Zyxel device?
