Model: Tapo C100

Hardware Version: V1

Firmware Version: 1.0.17

I can not update firmware on my Tapo C100. Current firmware version is 1.0.17 and the version to update to is 1.1.15.

When I click the "Update" button it seems that the update starts, the camera goes from green lamp to red and it shuts down and up again,

BUT in the end I get a message saying that the update failed and "Try later".

@Wayne-TP Hi again, I have now deleted and configured the camera once again.

Now all of a sudden there is no new update 1.1.15, I have the latest version 1.0.17, so it works.

Thank you for the feedback. It's possible that the camera fails to connect to the cloud server, please check if you can control the camera remotely (mobile data or other wifi)?

Here are some tips that might help:

1. Adjust router DNS address to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

2. Move the camera closer to the router when performing the update

3. Reconfigure the camera to a guest network or mobile hotspot, then perform the update

@Wayne-TP Hi and thanks for your reply. I have no problem to access the camera when I am away from the house, so yes, I can control the camera remotely.
