Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.13.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 220623 Rel.61658n

Hi,

I've setup a VPN server on my router but it's not working.

Setup:

- Go to: Advanced/ Setup/ PPTP VPN

- Enable VPN Server

- Enter Username & Password

- Save

- Go to: Network/ Dynamic DNS

- Register TP-link Domain Name

From Windows 11:

- Go to: Settings/ Network & Internet > VPN

- Click; Add VPN

- Enter TP-link VPN server details

- Save

- Click: Connect for the newly created VPN

- Result:

"The connection was not made because the attempted VPN tunnels failed"

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Martin

  @MartinMc

Hi, Have you checked whether the current Internet IP address on the Archer VR2100V is a public IP or not?

A private address might cause the problem.

You could go to https://whatismyipaddress.com/ to find the external IP (public IP) of the network. If it is not the same as the Internet IP on the Home router status page, your internet service provider might use CG-NAT service. You might need to reach your internet provider to see whether they could provide a public IP address.

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.
