Please suggest pfSense firewall in combination with Deco X60. have a Ziggo modem.


Current setup:
Modem (Ziggo) > Main Deco (AP mode) > Managed Switch > Other including Deco's.

 

Guess that becomes:
Modem in bridge mode (Ziggo) > pfsense firewall (incl DNS) > Main Deco (AP mode) > Managed Switch > Other including Deco's.

 

Who can confirm this or make another suggestion?

The preferred network layout will work well :

Modem in bridge mode (Ziggo) > pfsense firewall (incl DNS) > Main Deco (AP mode) > Managed Switch > Other including Deco's.

Thanks, it is also possible to hang the managed switch directly on firewall and Master Deco also on managed switch.

So:
Modem in bridge mode (Ziggo) > pfsense firewall (incl DNS) > Managed Switch > Main Deco (AP mode) and other devices including Deco's.

is it possible to connect the main deco to the same switch as the other deco's?
obviously in AP mode.
should I take that into account?

Hi, Thanks for your patience.

Modem in bridge mode (Ziggo) > pfsense firewall (incl DNS) > Managed Switch > Main Deco (AP mode) and other devices including Deco's.

It will work well and all Deco units could connect to the same switch when Deco is in AP mode.
