Hi all, am running Win 10 pro on a HP Elite desktop. using cable LAN from TP link box. with incoming to NBN box ( Australia) via cable,  ( TPG providor) .  Also use for a VOIP phone and wireless to another PC in house in a LAN set up.   

am getting regular I/Net dropouts  mainly due to "" Ethernet doesn't have valid IP config"" ... found when run trouble shooter.  not always auto fixed.  usually run ipconfig.exe or reboot by power Off/On to the 2 boxes. Qn: why the fairly often loss of config?    I/net ( boxes + LAN) system is about 2yrs old , PC is 5yrs old, refurbished. checks out ok on tests.

  @snaptube   thanks for link, looks like snaptube is an app. unfortunately i dont have a smartphone or mobile that takes extra apps. also tried a search using link and didnt get any results on net. is it poss you can write solution or your suggestion direct as reply?  i have also found these apps wont load onto my desktop PC.

Hi, Did this issue randomly happen to all 4*Ethernet Ports on Archer VR1600V?

How often would this issue repeat?

It is also suggested to change a new Ethernet cable, then set up a static IP on the desktop to see whether it helped or not:

  @FatmikThanks for suggestions.  No, havnt yet tried different outlet ports .  I was thinking it was some sort of vendor related problem since we get fairly often I/net dropouts here.  

Funnily nough, I volunteer for a local men's shed as a computer refurbisher/ problem solver !  so am working on this current problem in my own system!

  i will look into the idea of checking the actual settings for IP address in C/Panel as you suggest, will try manual set and/or a port change. .
