Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.12.10 Build 230208 Rel.38553n(4555)

Hello,

I recently bought TP-LINK C6 A1200 router. My ISP gives me stable 100mbps internet speed for outside network, which works perfectly.

In my local home network, I have Raspberry PI4 which connects to my router and I have some devices, like phone, computers that directly connect to my raspberry pi via home network.

For example, from my computer I connected to my raspberry pi 4 via local network IP address (192.168.0.142) on filezilla and tried downloading some files and download speed was around 100mbps. But my phone, router and raspberry pi 4 supports up to 800mbps speed.

And in my logical thinking, since I am using home network, files shouldnt be transferring in 100mbps, it should hit bigger speeds?

Please help.

Hi,

Check at what speed the Raspberry has connected to the LAN port of the Archer C6. In case it only shows 100Mbps, then the Raspberry may not be configured correctly.

Raspberry Pi 4 is connected to the router via WLAN and my computers and phones are also connected to the router via WLAN.

I've googled a bit around and it appears that the Wi-Fi of this little Raspberry just isn't faster than what you get.
For example have a look here: www<dot>tomshardware<dot>com/reviews/raspberry-pi-4    (replace <dot> with .)

So you might need to consider placing the Raspberry near the Archer C6 and connect it via Ethernet cable instead.

Where exactly it says that maximum WIFI speed for raspberry pi 4 is 100 mbps? Because there is difference between MBps and mbps.

Hi,

I won't post a screenshot of the Tom's Hardware webpage here, but if you scroll down to around 1/3 of that webpage it says they measured a 5-GHz throughput of "114 Mbps" on the Pi 4 and there is also a "Wi-Fi Throughput Benchmark" comparison chart below that with the same information and it clearly states "Megabits per Second".
