Team Deco,

I have a 2-pack Deco X20(US) V4, bought from Amazon India.

Both of them are working fine.

Recently my Deco app shows a series of 3 updates in a matter of 25-30 days.

Each time the change log varies.

Even now on the latest update, the What's New link takes to the EU version firmware.

The X20US V4 page also shows the EU version firmware.

I have attached the links below:

The official download page shows both US and EU versions on the same page. The region selected is India

Kindly guide which is the correct firmware.

Is there any hardware difference between X20(US) V4 and X20(EU) V4?

Upon looking into the file names of firmware, it has both US and EU names in it.

 

"X20 4.0_en_1.1.0 Build 20230517 Rel. 48243_US_EU_B4_up.bin"

 

And almost all V4 builds has US and EU common in their file name.

 

@David-TP  @TP-Link Please Look into it.

Hi, welcome to the community.

The firmware Deco X20_V4_1.1.0 Build 20230517 is indeed suitable for both US and EU versions.

Currently, it is only uploaded to the EN site and hasn't been released to the US and IN sites yet(will be later). I think it is also why "what's new" directs you to the EN official site.

So for manual upgrade via web UI, you could wait for a while. But since you also receive the APP's new firmware push message, you could update the firmware directly via APP because APP will not push the firmware automatically unless it is the right one.

@Deco_India Changing region to US shows that 1.0.5 is the latest firmware for Deco X20 (US) V4 btw

 

Usually you set region in the tp-link site according to your Deco's firmware region, not according to your location

Just a M4 (2-pack) user who regrets buying it
