Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

So I have Archer AX55 as router and RE550 as range extender in OneMesh configuration. However, it seems that only the main 2.4G and 5G signals can be extended by RE550 and not IoT Network & Guest Network (configured in AX55), as seen from Tether app.

Is my understanding correct? Because I need to connect my outdoor IoT devices (near RE550) in IoT network but RE550 shows that it only extends the main dual band signals.

Unfortunately, only the main SSID is extended.  This issue has been addressed in other posts but never has been fixed.

Thanks for the reply. I hope they implement it in the future. Also waiting for the Google Assistant integration for AX55 (as well as RE550). Currently I can link my AX55 to Google Assistant/Home but no command can be understood yet.

Hi @Kartronics12

Can you please explain what command were you trying to control the router?

Below is the FAQ that you can refer to check how to control the router with Google voice commands:

Yep I have read this article (https://www.tp-link.com/ph/support/faq/2891/) and followed the format yet Google Home cannot understand a single thing. Ex, I said "disable the LED of my router" and "disable the LED of my AX55 router"

Oh! Now that I tried it again, it worked!

Last question, are you planning to add range extenders to be compatible with Google Home/Assistant? Like the RE550? It would be fun to also be able to control them via voice commands. Esp the LEDs, whenever modem reboots or power is lost, the LEDs go to ON state again. Thanks!
