Hi,

 

My Tapo P115 only works locally, i have already tried in different houses anda different internets, i've already configured the router with DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, disabled firewall and everything, and nothing works. In one of this houses i've a TP Link router archer MR400 and still doesn't work.

 

So, i ask... what can i do? I need this do work outside my local network.

Please ensure the plug has been factory reset successfully. >Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds

 

When did you purchase this device? Was it a brand-new device? 

Did the remote control work at the beginning? 

 

Do you have other Tapo devices? How about them?

 

If you have a habit of customizing advanced settings on your router, such as access control (black/white lists), address reservation, bandwidth control, AP isolation, or if you have multiple networks with different subnets, we recommend simplifying your network setup for testing purposes. 

 

You can try using another mobile phone to create a hotspot and configure the plug to connect to the hotspot. This will help you test if remote management works correctly.

If your Archer MR400 works in 4G router mode, try to factory reset it then reconnect the plug.

I've already made several resets and nothing.

I have it for 1 month, i bought it new on amazon. it never worker, always says the message that only works locally.

I have other devices of this kind, but this is the only Tapo device.

In the Archer MR400 with 4G and on this other home with my fiber ISP, i have the default configuration, i just tried to change dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but nothing happens
