Deco XE75 Pro- DHCP Option 61 Connectivity
Hi All, forgive me if none of my tech jargon makes sense as my understanding of it is basic. So I am about to receive some new Deco XE75 Pro's. MY ISP provider is Sky via FTTP with a Sky SR203 Router(This router is underwhelming to say the least!!). I am mainly looking to improve my Wi-Fi Speeds and coverage with the Deco's so happy to set up as access points (although I understand you lose some of the functionality of the Deco's in this mode?)
I've been reading and understand in order to connect any 3rd party router to a Sky FTTP ONT modem that the 3rd party router needs a DHCP option 61 function for authentication with the Sky Modem. Others have said all TP Deco units do not support this type of connectivity but thought i would just check prior to setting mine up as access points that new Deco 75's pro's are like the other or older Deco units and unable to connect via the DHCP option 61.
Or is anyone aware of any firmware that could be downloaded to allow the Deco 75 Pro's to connect with the Sky FTTP using DHCP option 61?
Thanks for any help in advance.
