Hi,

I have a deco E4 mesh WiFi system and have just upgraded my broadband to 500Mbs fiber.

Could I buy an M4 unit to connect as the main hub to my router. I'm hoping this will give me a full speed 500Mbs WiFi mesh when connected to the other E4 units.

I'm asking because my current E4 mesh system seems to be limited to 100Mbs because of the Ethernet cable connection to my router.

Thanks.

  @Brodie2000

Hi, welcome to the community.

Deco M4 could get more than 100m/s. The Ethernet connection is up to 1G which would not be a problem, while it might be a little challenging to get full 500m/s over WiFi.

For M4, AC1200(5 GHz: 867 Mbps +2.4 GHz: 300 Mbps), the expected wireless speed over 5 GHz would be 350-500m/s varying in different wireless situations and interference.

If possible, you could consider the WiFi 6 Deco models, like Deco X20 or Deco X50.

Thank you very much and best regards.
