The RE800BE is far from a comparable device - for the size of it, and the cost, you might as well be using a full-on Router (e.g. a C80) as an EasyMesh satellite!

Range Extenders with EasyMesh Ethernet Back-haul is what is being requested - you know, the much-smaller plug-in devices, not something the size of a shoe-box that needs its own shelf. :)

  @David-TP Hello,

I also hope that the RE700X and the RE705X in V1 both receive the Ethernet Backhaul update.

Thanks

  @David-TP

Hello. I have tested RE315 with another vendor and Easymesh over Ethernet works like magic!

Please pass the information to developers that this option is much needed on the market and there are virtually no competitors right now that offer this functionality.

I look forward to getting Easymesh over Ethernet in any model with 1Gigabit Ethernet port, as RE315 only has 100Megabit. Let us know if any of the 1Gig models are getting new firmware soon.

Thank you very much!

  @terziyski Yes, I do agree with you. However, RE315 is the only model that supports EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul.

RE800BE might be the next, but so far this model hasn't been officially released.

Thank you very much and best regards.

It would be a good idea if there's a thread listing the ethernet backhaul capable REs (when there's more than one) like for the wireless routers.

If this was helpful click on the arrow pointing upward to make it blue. If this solves your issue, click the star to make it blue and mark the post as a "Recommended Solution".

  @David-TP Hi. I have a new C80 V2.2 router with the latest firmware. What should I buy as an ethernet connected WiFi extender please? Another C80 or a WiFi extender like the RE315 ? What other extenders are compatible eg RE330 ?

Thanks. Alan in France.

  @David-TP

Could you please consider adding ethernet backhaul to RE700X wifi 6 range extender? I am using RE700X units (3)  with my main router which is a TP Link BE900.

Thanks!
