Hi

i have 5 decos M5 ver1 and 3 on a 110 squre meter house .

my provider gives me an about 1000 100 mb .

my main deco also acts as a routher so topoligy is fiber from provider and a fiber to gbit converter to Deco .

and on test speed from the main is getting 850 to 920mb upload 100 to 120mb

so far so good .

the wifi in mt house are terible im not getting more than 120-150mb

my mac and iphones and android devices connected to the main .bandwith still 90 to 130

tried to disable qos elg upnp optimized performance network changing channels etc.

nothing helps .

please advise.

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

Are all the 4 satellite M5 units wireless connected to each other?

Please also temporarily turn off 2.4GHz to see how much speed you could get from 5Ghz.

I noticed you mentioned that "my mac and iPhones and android devices connected to the main. Bandwidth still 90 to 130" Have you checked on the Deco APP to confirm they are connected to the main Deco M5, not roam to any other satellite M5s?

Hi David ,

I have check that im connected to main deco in the app before testing .

Also as u advised i disabled 2.4 same results still 94on95mb .

 

Tried multiple reboots .

Tried changing dns to cloud flare .but there no need sense direct tests with dns provider provide 900mb stable .

So problem defenetly on wifi side .

 

Maybe the M5 are are just not good playing as an all-arounder ? Router and wifi to a 40 deviced at once?

I cant solve this out .

Seems like the m5 need to be replaced .

It cant handle I guess a high speed broadband via wifi .

The hardware getting old .

 

Btw this is my history  tests vis the deco wired not wifi .

800-900 mb download wired .wifi 80-90 ):

@Eladeb Is the "110 square meter house" info correct?

 

If it is, then why are you using 5 Decos in such a small area???

 

2 is more than enough there.

Tried to move to 3 units at home without success .
