2. How to update the firmware via web UI.
Modifications and Improvement:
1. Improved the overall Deco App experience, especially with the following reported phenomenon:
- Satellite Deco units are solid green while Deco APP reported offline.
- Certain connected clients don't show up on the Online Client List or the displayed count of connected clients is inaccurate.
- When opening the Deco App, it takes quite a while to respond or update the network status.
2. Optimized web upgrade efficiency.
Please feel free to comment below how much this firmware has improved your network.

@David-TP Yesterday I updated my 3 XE75 Pro to 1.2.8 beta firmware. Since then I am facing several devices being disconnected during the day. The device list also shows wrong information - sometimes all devices are connected to 1 or 2 decos (when it's not true) or several wireless devices showing as wired. Some smart switches cannot connect anymore even removing and trying to reconnect.

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.
Did all the mentioned issues above start with 1.2.8 beta firmware?
And did the 1.2.8 firmware fix or improve any of your previous issues?
Can you provide the model numbers of the devices that were disconnected from Deco or refused to connect to Deco?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

@David-TP There now seems to be version 1.29 for XE75 Pro V2 in the EU. Presumably, this includes the changes in 1.28? Is this version also for the UK?

Thank you for your reply!
Yes, all issues started with 1.2.8 beta firmware and issues improved with it.
I've downgraded to 1.2.7 yesterday and I was able to reconnect the devices after it.
The disconnected devices are Tuya and Sonoff smart switches. I have over 30 of them installed and some of them were losing connection with beta firmware, with a few of them not able to reconnect.
Thanks!

In case anyone was wondering, updating the firmware manually via the web UI doesn't appear to be working if you do this over an OpenVPN conection to the router. Probably not something that TP-Link would recommend doing, but it might be worth clarifying if that's a supported use case, and if not, add an approriate error message.
Currently, for me, it uploads the firmware, shows "Update in progress", and then an "Operation succeeded" toast. But nothing happened. Same behavior with 1.2.7 and 1.2.8 on the target XE75 Pro V2 router. When I'm on site, upgrading works.
FYI @David-TP

@David-TP prompted by the app, I've now upgraded to 1.2.9.
No problems so far and with this version I'm now getting much faster Speedtests than with any other priversion (inc 1.2.8).
Great to see this version pushed out quickly via the in app update.

@AleWada Hi, the 1.2.8 beta firmware is planned to be added on 1.2.10. So the engineers are quite concerned about your feedback.
I wonder whether you would like to further cooperate with the engineers about the Tuya and Sonoff smart switches instability issue.
If yes, I have sent an email to you(from support.forum@tp-link.com) and please feel free to update the email.
Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion.
I don't think the firmware upgrade via the OpenVPN connection has been tested before. So if you don't mind, I will create a support ticket first, and if the engineer confirms the issue, he could reach out to you directly via email.
Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.
I wonder whether you are still experiencing the issue mentioned here:
"It's all working well now EXCEPT I still get the 'issue with the client list, reboot' message"
If yes, I have created a support ticket. Please feel free to update the email and the engineer would love to provide further assistance.
Best regards.

Hi @David-TP,
I can confirm 1.28 works better than 1.29 for app stability, however both version face regular device dumps where multiple devices all drop of at the same time several times a day.
