Firmware Version: 1.2.7 Build 20230111 Rel. 71327

Good evening everyone,

I just set up a 6 unit Deco XE75 Pro mesh.

I have 3 clients connected to the main unit for testing via Wifi 6/6e.

However even all 3 clients are streaming 4K test footage the Download/Upload indicator in the app shows no traffic at all. Just 0-5 Kbit/s which is impossible given the data load.

As this is a very primitive/basic must-have feature, can someone tell me if this is a known issue?

Any help here would be much appreciated!

Kind regards

@treichold After opening the Deco app, it takes a few seconds for the app to show actual traffic.

Are you sure that all 3 devices are connected to themain Deco? Did you set up the 6Ghz network?

Just a M4 (2-pack) user who regrets buying it

  @treichold

I know about this issue for 3 years I own Deco mesh, so we can safely assume it is known issue. It survived through multiple interations of Deco firmware upgrades and major Deco app rewrite - it would be safe to assume this issue is of very low priority for TP-Link Deco software development team.

My recommendation: just ignore it.

My other recommendation: check traffic stats per Deco node instead of for each of devices connected to it, totals per Deco node seem to better reflect reality.

  @Alexandre.

Thank you for your reply!

That is pretty poor design from TP-Link as this is so elementary.

I also observed today while the individual mesh nodes traffic do fluctuate around 10-250 KBit/s I found the issue is the same.

3 clients streaming 4K content and the node under observation never exceeds ~300 KBit/s which again is impossible with 3 concurrent streams.

Will this ever be fixed? Becuase this doesn't look good on TP-Link at all.

Cheers
