I'm unsure if it's a phone or Deco issue, but after checking my phone settings, it should automatically switch to the WiFi with the strongest signal. However, the problem persists as it tends to grab the WiFi signal from the previous room instead of the current one where the signal is stronger.
Any ideas ?
Smarpthone does switch automatically, but not instantly. To switch to a different WiFi node, smartphone must rescan all WiFi networks and choose the new WiFi node to connect to. Rescanning is battery draining, smartphone software developers must find compromise between speed of battery drain and how soon smartphone will be switching to nearest WiFi node.
You can force smartphone to rescan WiFi networks by turning smartphone WiFi off and on. If after that it connects to the nearest WiFi node, it means smartphone can correctly establish which node is the nearest. Which also means, smartphone not switching to the nearest node instantly when you move close to it is by design.
