Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.6.3 Build 20231225 Rel. 60770

Hi

I have updated the firmware for the Deco M9 Plus over the weekend and has since experienced unstable connection when using video conferencing software.  This happens across multiple device, both Windows and Mac as well as multiple softwares - Teams, Talk, Chime.   The call either froze or sometimes shown to be disconnect and reconnected over a period of 1-3 seconds.  This didn't occur on the previous firmware.  The Deco App indicates that "Everthing looks good" and I have tried restarted both the Decos as well as the modem.

Each device remains stationery and with roaming agressiveness set to low, no siwtching between AP was noticed when the drop out occured.

Any help here, settings I should be looking at etc ?

  @Aek Been having issues this last week. I just ran the Firmware update to 1.6.3 Build 20231225 Rel. 60770, but I will have to see what happen next.

What are you running currently?

  @Andracula

Hi

60770 is the version I've just updated to.

I haven't been updating the firmware for at least 12 months before this.

  @Aek

Hi, if the Windows PC is wired into the nearest Deco, even the main Deco M9 plus, would you still experience a similar issue?

It is also suggested to set the DNS server under Deco APP>More>Advanced>DHCP Server>DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Hi

No, none of the PCs are wired to the router.  None of them have ethernet port.

Setting the DNS to Google's doesn't resolve the issue.  Neither does switching the main Deco.
