Model: Archer VR2100v
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.16.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 230510 Rel.46740n

Hello,

I recently got my Archer VR2100v. After a few differences compared to my previous router (FRITZbox) and one topic I could clarify on this forum, I was able to set everything up regarding my needs. Everythings runs fast and smooth. There is just one thing bothering me. Every night at 3am, the router restarts the DSL connection. I don't know if that is done to receive a new IP address or if it has other reasons. However, what I can assure is that my previous router did not do this (or it did it at a time where I was not noticing it). It has nothing to do with the auto restart function in the settings, since it is turned off and as I mentioned, it's only the DSL connection that is restarting (takes about 1-3 mins).

Is there any way to turn this off? If not, can I somehow change the time when this happens to 6am/7am or something else?

Thanks in advance

Hi, you may log into the management interface and go to Advanced >> Network>>Internet >>Modify your configuration profile>> Click on the drawdown list of Advanced >>check whether you enabled  "Auto disconnect and reconnect at(HH:MM)" and set it as 3AM.

Offcial emulator for your reference: https://emulator.tp-link.com/VR2100vV1_EU/index.htm

Hi, thanks for posting question on our community.

If your Archer VR2100v is DE version, it is suggested to upgrade firmware to the official latest one: Archer VR2100v(DE)_V1_230831

@Marvin_S Hello Marvin, thanks for your reply. I did install the software, however, it did not solve my problem. My DSL connection still restarts every night at 3am (3.05 or 3.06 am to be more accurate) and I cannot find a way to deactivate that.

@Marvin_S Hello Marvin, today, the first time I am awake after I actually unchecked the automatic restart option, I was disappointing to see, that it still doesn´t work. My network just disconnected, kicking me out a competitive game and making me lose points. These are my settings:

Hi, was it the whole network that dropped down? What time is it when the issue happens?

Did you check the LED status on the VR2100v?
