Model: Archer VR1600v
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: Firmware version: 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 220518 Rel.32480n

I have an Archer VR1600v from TPG which is playing up with the time shown. Hardware version: 2.0. Firmware version: 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 220518 Rel.32480n

Issue: On the Time Settings page, Time Zone: GMT+10 time for Melbourne But the router kept giving the time one hour ahead of actual time.

Steps taken:

1. The NTP Sever I was: time dot nist dot gov, which is based in USA.

2, So I replace it with the Aussie one, still one hour ahead was shown.

3. Then I replaced with 0.0.0.0 in NTP Server I – same as that shown NTP Server II to avoid getting time from the internet. Then set time manually by choosing the option "Get from PC". Correct time shown for about 10-15 minutes and then it’s again 1 hour ahead.

Question: What could have caused that? Firmware? (Note: Firmware update controlled by TPG)

I got the answer now. If Daylight Saving is enabled, one has to set the daylight saving dates manually even the time zone is already entered.

One more point: Whenever I click Get (Time) from Internet, the wrong time is displayed immediately.

Hi, thanks for the update!  I guess you've got the correct time, right?

Yes I do. I never expected that I had to set the start and end dates for daylight saving manually!
