Hello,

I have a strange problem with a Deco XE75 Pro. The image below is my current seutp. If one of the clients connected to the switch 10/100 satures all the bandwidth, for some reason my desktop connected to the XE75 Pro  gets very high latency (from 8 ms to 8.8.8.8 to 120-130ms) and the speedtest drops from 900 Mbps to 50-100 Mbps. As soon the saturation between the two switches stops, the problem disappers. How can this be the case if my desktop is connected directly to the Deco XE75 Pro ? If I try to enable QoS to some values below 100Mbps (e.g. 40-50), the problem is slightly better but still it is something that I would not expect to see at all. All clients are connected via ethernet, even the Deco E4 that should not be involved in handling the traffic.

Does the Deco E4 affects the performance of the whole network if the link between the two decos gets saturated ?

  @gbaratta

Hi, welcome to the community.

I couldn't clarify the issue either.

if possible, I hope you could check some details first to eliminate some potential causes.

1. Please try to temporarily unplug/remove Deco E4 from the Mesh network.

2. Are you able to constantly reproduce this issue?

3. May I know the model number of the switches?

Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi  @David-TP ,

I'm able to reproduce it even if it is a bit tricky

1. Start iperf3 from desktop B to desktop A. Speed capped at 100Mpbs as expected. Ping from Desktop A to XE75 Pro 1ms, from Desktop A to 8.8.8.8 8ms.
2. Keep iperf3 test running and start a speedtest to an external server from a smartphone connected to E4. Speed from mobile to external server is 70/80Mbps (and that is okay), iperf3 speed from desktop B to desktop A decrease (and that is okay), ping from Desktop A to XE75 Pro increase to 100ms, from Desktop A to 8.8.8.8 increase to over 100ms.

I updated the network diagram

Switch A: TL-SG108(UN)

Switch B:  GO-SW-5E

Switch C: Zyxel GS105S
