WhatsApp call drops connection on RE605X
Hi There,
I have install my RE605X as range extender mode with the Onemesh(R) on.
The wireless connection is excellent.
All internet browsing are excellent and working well on all my devices.
But when I initiate a WhatsApp call (or receive one), the connection never establishes if my phone is connected to the RE605X, and I need to get closer to my main router (Archer VR2100) so my phone to reconnect and I can have the call.
Is there any solution?
Thank you.

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.
Are you able to constantly reproduce this issue?
Can you test whether the Ethernet connection from the RE605X had the same issues on WhatsApp calls?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

I have exactly the same issue with RE605X on OneMesh.
Have anyone found a solution to this?
Situation: Whatsup works well when mobile phone is connected to the router directly. When connected to the RE605X (in OneMesh mode), all whatsup calls having connection issues after around 10 seconds from the begning of call, interestingly it works well for the first 10 seconds of call.
For all other services (except whatsup) - OneMesh on RE605X works well.

@KinqWolf Sorry wasn't much into forum. The solution is never buy TP link! You see i had to login because i had another issue with another TP link brand product... Their products in practice never work as advertised. Wi Fi 7 With TP Link Never!

@KinqWolf Disabling One mesh and smart connect seems to work for me configure your extender 2.4 and 5ghz separately and name extended wi fi same as routers add _5g for the extended 5 ghz wi fi and connect only to 2.4 or 5ghz. Moving between router and extender while on call didn't cause drop. Just ensure your device only connect to 2.4 or 5 ghz forget one of the band password by the device you are connecting to prevent your device switching between 2 bands.
