Recently I have experienced problems with my e-mail, so that I'm able to receive e-mails unless I have VPN on. This affects only accounts on two providers (both by Telia). iCloud, MSN and Outlook accounts works fine.

 

I have even receided another X50 from my ISP in case of hardware failure of Deco X50. Previous X50 is v1.2 with firmware 1.2.0 Build 20231229 Rel. 43148

 

As these problems seem to be intermittent, I have not been able to narrow the reason down.

 

I would not prefer to use vpn just to use e-mail for some accounts.

 

I have Homeshield on my Deco, but should it cause such a problem?

 

Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi

 

Can you receive emails without using a VPN if you bypass Deco and connect your PC and modem directly by wire? If yes, it is advised to perform a MAC Clone by following Situation 1 in the following link:

Forgot to mention, that this happens both with Windows PC:s (Windows 10 & 11) and iPhone, iPad and MacBook, so it's not OS related.

Thanks! Cloning the mac address from my pc seems to have fixed the problem. I'm now able to read e-mails without VPN on all my devices.
