EasyMesh with main tp-link er605 v2 safestream
Hello!
I want to build easymesh network where main router is ER605 V2 and two satelites are Archer AX1500.
Since main easymesh router must be wifi one(as I understand from FAQ), I assume this topology, where one AX1500 is "main" EasyMesh, and second is it's satelite. Technically two AX1500 are not connected directly between BUT they are in the same network that create ER605 V2. So I have doubts. Since two AX1500 are behind wall, logically both will work via "Ethernet Backhaul" as signal between them are too weak.
Will this work as single EasyMesh?

To achieve this you have to use Archer AX55 router since AFAIK it's the only model supporting Easymesh in AP mode so far.
Otherwise you'll get a double NAT after the main Easymesh router setup.
If the wireless signal between routers is too weak they may end up working basically in AP mode.
The other approach woul be a Deco mesh in AP mode - details.

Following the logic that for using an ethernet backhaul, both devices should support it, I would say yes - both devices should be AX55, but this has to be confirmed by a TP-Link representative or someone who already tested that.

Actually the post:

answers this question and it should work for you if you're using only Archer AX55 as a main router.

Its true. But I don't want to buy another tp-link product. I just bought "er605 v2" and it seems useless as EasyMesh now working with it, while just two AX1500 works perfect (one is in router mode). [still the place for first is very bad, that's why I wanted new "main" without wifi and EasyMesh for others].
Seems EasyMesh is not that's easy.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.
According to network topology in the picture you shared, as Archer AX1500 does not support Easymesh when working as AP mode, it is suggested to change one Archer AX1500 to Archer AX55. And you can set the AX55 as AP mode add another AX1500 as satellite router directly (no need to set up as AP mode). Then the Easymesh Ethernet backhaul should work between AX55 and AX1500.
Now only Archer AX55 can suppport Easymesh under AP mode. It is a pity that we can not make sure when it will add to Archer AX1500.
You may consider to talk with your retailer to use one AX1500 to replace with AX55 and pay for the price difference.
BTW, we ever received feedback that D-Link switch will block packets based on IEEE 1905.1 protocol when setting up Deco Ethernet backhaul, causing the network becomes unstable. Except this, other routers/switch should not influence the Ethernet backhaul bwteen Routers/Decos.
