This morning I went to turn on my works computer and could not.

It is controlled by a TAP P110 switch, as are two fridge freezers.

 

I discovered through the app, that all the swicthes were off. Noen of my doing?

Obviously very disconcerting for those supplying the fridge freezers.

 

I switched them back on via the app, but what on earth happened to cause this?

Router fine, and other non TAPO switches fine.

 

Anyone else ever experienced this?

Generally, such a problem will not occur. 

 

Did you use the Tapo App the day before discovered this problem?  It may have been accidentally touched.

*To avoid similar events, you can create a new Home in the Tapo App for plugs that do not need to be turned on and off as frequently as they should.

These switches are meant to be left on ALL THE TIME.
I use the TAPO switches so I can monitor the electricity consumption.

I have plenty of Teckin switches that do not.

 

So far it has not happened again and I have had them installed for several months already.

Are all smart plugs turned off? Or is it specific to a few devices? At what point in time did the problem occur? What is your time zone?

All the Tapo switches, not the Teckin ones. They do not go offline either, as I could switch them back on via the app. If it happens again, I will have to take them off the fridge freezers. I cannot afford to lose all that food, if I do not notice they have gone off again. I only happened to notice as I went into a frideg for a beer and the light did not come on. When I checked the smart plug, it was off. Then I checked the otehr fridge and that was off. Then I checked the app, and they were all off, those that were on, that is.

No idea as to when they went off, other than that day. I am in the UK on UK summer time ATM.
